BIG Update + Screen Shots!

TODAY IS A GRAND DAY!

I've created my own dialogue tree system that is based on the Cartesian coordinate grid!

In the screen shot sequence below, we see one of our playable characters (the green slime with eye stalks) approaching "Thaddeus." That little orb is an attack from the little red enemy in the bottom left.

So Thaddeus is basically a face with arms, legs, and teeth on the bottom.

As our hero approaches Thaddeus, he is prompted with the dialogue bubble. You can see some of our hero's health is missing, after a brief skirmish with the enemy from the above screen shot.

It, functionally, a series of choices (as seen in most popular action RPG's today). Each choice changes the outcome of the plot, as well as the available playable characters. Some characters (Like Thaddeus) will befriend you under certain conditions, and can be swapped out at any time during gameplay, using the real-time character select menu.

I will be updating this blog more frequently now, as I am making much more progress every day.
